With a specilized curriculum, Camp Fire USA provides quality after-school programs. Our goals are to:
- provide programs, five days a week, for children living in low income neighborhoods
- help children achieve in school by offering homework help and encouragement
- improve the health of children by offering nutritional guidance and healthy snacks
- involve parents through family activities, volunteer opportunities, and potluck dinners
How To Help...
Because these wonderful programs are offered at little or no cost, support from the community is critical. For more information, please contact the main office at 619-291-8985.

Oceanside
Our oldest continuously running after school program is our North County Camp in a Barrio (NoCaBa), which for over 20 years has provided Camp Fire USA programs for youth grades K-12. The center is open, after school, Monday Friday and extended hours in the summer. During the year, the program has an emphasis on homework and reading. Volunteers from the Brother Benno Foundation provide a special reading program each week. Activities include Camp Fire USA Clubs, arts & crafts, sewing, cooking, field trips, camping, leadership development and participation in council events. Volunteers are welcome. Please contact Jona Newcomb, NoCaBa Director, 760-722-8318.
